Turn on the radio, the display will show 'SAFE'.
Press [ DX and FM1/2 ] until the display shows '1000'
Press preset [ 1 ] repeatedly for the first digit
Press preset [ 2 ] repeatedly for the second digit
Press preset [ 3 ] repeatedly for the third digit
Press preset [ 4 ] repeatedly for the fourth digit
Finally press the [ DX and FM1/2 ] button to save. The set will now operate
