Turn on the radio, the display should show ' SAFE '

Press together the [ RDS ] and [ TP ] buttons until the display changes to ' 1000 '

Press preset [ 1 ] repeatedly for the first digit
Press preset [ 2 ] repeatedly for the second digit
Press preset [ 3 ] repeatedly for the third digit
Press preset [ 4 ] repeatedly for the fourth digit

To save the code press [ RDS and TP ] together. 'SAFE' will display again briefly. The set will now operate
