do not take the serial from a user guideNever take the serial number from any printed paperwork or user guides, since this may not match the actual BMW radio fitted to the car.  Instead, take the serial number from either a label or an engraving on the top or side of your BMW stereo, to ensure the supplied BMW radio code is accurate.

I had an old 80's Ford Stereo that had been sat unused in the garage for 15 years. Managed to power it up but code locked out. Googled these guys but was very sceptical. Ford forums had used them before and were genuine. I entered the serial number and the code came back instantly. Put it in the car and boom it worked. Couldn't believe it and it only cost a fiver.

Further information on decoding your BMW car radio.

Using our BMW stereo decoding system, you are not only saving money, but also time and the hassle which is involved. Most vehicle main dealers require you to book in your vehicle and take the car and proof of ownership along before they apply for the radio code.
Usually the code will be based on your vehicle registration or Chassis number which can mean you are not getting the code for the current unit fitted to the car, especially if the radio has been replaced at any stage in its lifetime.

There are a number of reasons why a radio code based on the vehicles chassis number or registration may not work, these include:

At Radio-Code, we provide stereo codes based on the unique serial number of the car radio, regardless of what it was fitted to originally.  Our stereo codes have proven to be more accurate than main dealer's because of this.

What our customers have to say...

Thanks for the service. So many other sites promise but fail to deliver. You did... . BARRIE TOMLINSON

Brilliant, thanks Sam. Have just put it in and all working again. Thanks for your patience and help. David Stein

A quick note of thanks for your service.......yeak I know I paid but the fiver was worth it! My wife's beloved 1997 Fiesta Ghia had a minor job done at a local garage who disconnected the battery! We had mislaid our service manual with the radio code. Removal tools came from a metal coat hanger and I think the total time from cutting the coat hanger, sending the code, paying by PayPal, resetting the radio and locking the car took no more than 3 minutes!!! . John Carnochan

Hi just letting you no after going to 3 different garages with no joy (they all took radio out and said it was not standard Ford) my code was with me in 3 seconds of pressing enter key, and worked first time brilliant thank you Mr A Shaw . Alan Shaw

What a wonderful fast service thank you so much, the old lady next door who had her car serviced and lost her radio 2 is so pleased. Great thanks all. . Mike Dickey
